Hutong is renowned for its delicious spread of Northern Chinese cuisine. The restaurant’s famous dim sum platter for lunch and dinner is a treat you simply can’t miss.

Of course, the star of the show in Hutong is certainly the flaming Peking duck. Think of it as art for the eye and tongue. The chefs will carve and flame the duck at your tableside, so get your camera ready if you order it.

The ambiance is great too. Wood panels, red silk lanterns reminiscent of old Beijing’s classic Sino interiors, and scenic views of the Victoria Harbour and the city’s skyline. What more could you want?

Lai Ching Heen, formerly known as Yan Toh Heen, is one of the most celebrated Chinese restaurants in the city. This restaurant has received not just one but two Michelin stars plus two diamonds in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide!

So, let’s talk about what keeps people coming in despite the sky high prices – the food and the view.

Some of the all-time favorites here are the Steamed Seafood Dumpling with Crab Roe, Barbecued Pork with Honey, and Peking Duck. These are best paired with specialty brews handpicked and prepared by the restaurant’s tea sommelier.

Meanwhile, with its prime location on Victoria Harbour’s waterfront, it’s also an excellent dining spot to catch the daily-to-day light show. We recommend this place for romantic dinner dates!

Calling all the meat lovers out there! Come check out The Grill Room, a modern steakhouse featuring French and Australian cuisine (how’s that for a pairing?).

Expect fine cuts of meat prepared using secret homemade marinade and sauce before char-grilled over searing flames. We liked the USDA Prime Charcoal-grilled Sirloin and Roast Half Lamb Rack.

Anyway, if you want to make the most of your dining experience, we suggest you sit at the section with high tables so you get the best view of the restaurant’s open kitchen.

Aqua is a fancy rooftop bar and restaurant famous for its stylish penthouse-inspired lounge and an extensive menu of cocktails, wines, beers, whiskeys, and rare spirits.

But before we jump to all that booze in Aqua Bar, let’s look into their food offerings first. The restaurant features two kitchens – Aqua Roma and Aqua Tokyo. Of course, it’s quite obvious which kitchen the Italian and Japanese dishes come from, right?

If it’s your first time dining here, we recommend you  go for their tasting menu. This menu is just perfect for you to try a range of seasonal dishes as well as both Japanese and Italian specialties.

Anyway, to secure a window seat and get an unobstructed view of Victoria Harbour, you have to book a reservation at least a week before your visit. There’s only a few window seats here.

Wooloomooloo Steakhouse is a posh restaurant set in a skyscraper, so the cityscape will be your view while you dine here.

Of course, the stars of the menu here are the premium cuts of beef sourced from different parts of Australia. But it also showcases a good selection of seafood dishes for customers who aren’t in the mood for red meat.

Anyway, as you step inside, you’ll notice that there are three different zones. The first one near the balcony features a bar and an extensive wine rack, as well as high tables and regular dining tables. It’s a nice spot if you just want to grab some drinks or hang out with friends.

Next is the dining area opposite the open kitchen, which is a good choice if you enjoy watching the buzz in the kitchen as your meals are prepared.

Last but definitely not the least of our favorites is the third area, which is more intimate and quiet than the others. Here, you’ll have access to seats and dining tables by the window too.
