Pros
- Beautiful location and ambiance inside the restaurant
- Gracious staff
- Delectable meals
Cons
- Some of the bread were no longer warm
- Staff are great but could be more attentive
Tosca di Angelo, located on the 102nd level of the Ritz Carlton, offers an exceptional and spectacular dining experience.
On our visit, we had the good fortune to be seated at a window with a beautiful view of Hong Kong.
Tosca Di Angelo displayed excellent service and cuisine. If you’re about to wrap up your Hong Kong trip, you should try out with a memorable dinner at this restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton.
On their tasting menu, every dish was mouthwatering. The ingredients were all fresh, and the flavours blended well.
Each dish was expertly made, cooked, and presented. The portions were just right, so by the time we were finished, we were thoroughly satisfied.
We thought the basil ice cream was a fantastic idea. The tiny appetisers were a pleasant surprise as well.
The staff members were courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and they showed the appropriate level of attentiveness.
We commend them for thoroughly describing each dish in great detail. It was an excellent experience overall.

Pros
- Delicious lunch menu
- Free flowing breadsticks
- Portions were just right
- Great ambiance and attentive servers
Cons
- There are better Italian cuisine alternatives for the price point
Large windows provided plenty of natural light, contrasting the brightly lit room’s warm, beautiful design with a view of the city.
The sorbet, bread, and tiramisu are all excellent. We had the red snapper for the main course and the veal loin for the appetiser. Both are decent but not particularly noteworthy.
We also got squid ink pasta as it was highly suggested by friends, and we liked it. Their portioning also was just right. You wouldn’t feel ripped off for splurging on such a meal.
Prices are higher than average, as one could anticipate from a five-star hotel. Of course we also wouldn’t want to discredit their lovely staff. Everyone was notably attentive and made sure we were comfortable.
The entire floor’s atmosphere with the background music set up a really touch of ambiance. It’s definitely a great place for quiet celebrations for two.
Given the ambiance of the restaurant and the high calibre of the food, the price is reasonable. If you don’t require the fancy elements for a business meal, Hong Kong has other excellent Italian food options.

Pros
- Great place for brunch
- Varied selection of cold meats and salads
- Great deal for the price
Cons
- Slightly slow serving time
- Staff can be inattentive at times
Sabatini is a wonderful place to be in for brunch on a Sunday, especially with a good selection of cold meats and salad on the starter table.
There is a good selection of foods in the buffet-style starter, and seasonal fresh produce is used in the main meals.
You can choose from salmon, cod, or sausage on the grill table. In addition to the grilled selection, there is also mushroom soup, scrambled eggs on toast, and beef tartar. All are worth a try.
Prior to the main course, caviar is served in the middle. The lamb chops we had for the main course were prepared to perfection.
Their desserts are also fairly exceptional and display a high level of quality, so be sure to save room in your stomach for their tasty variety.
You can have unlimited prosecco, pinot grigio, and red wine for an additional $120 or more. Excellent deal, and we’re already looking forward to coming back for a post-Christmas meal.
Overall, Sabatini is a terrific venue for a special dinner because of its excellent service, lovely ambiance, and song dedications by a live acoustic band.
So for us, Sabatini has and still occupies a spot in the culinary scene with their classic selection of Italian food and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return.

Pros
- Not as expensive as other Italian restaurants
- Great place for brunch
- Cocktails are delicious
Cons
- Some minor complaints about their portions
If you’re looking for top-notch Italian cuisine without breaking the bank, then Pirata HK is just the place to visit.
To begin with, we can’t speak highly enough of the location, which boasts one of Wan Chai’s most expansive views. It really adds more character to the place and makes the whole experience more enjoyable.
As for the food, the cuisine is simply fantastic, and the environment is wonderful. The homemade spaghetti is so delicious that we could eat it all by itself.
We recommend their Sicilian style pasta – a chef’s special. Another must-try is their famous pork and beef meatballs in tomato sauce and parmesan cheese, which are among the appetisers for sharing.
The deep-fried calamari, shrimp, and cod in the fritto misto were delicious, and the lemon flavour added a lovely touch.
The cold cut platter was exquisite and a perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine. The truffle dressing improved the Caesar salad.
Special thanks go out to all the staff members that delivered exceptional service. After this lovely experience, we could swear to go back again.

Pros
- 3 Michelin stars
- Excellent cocktails and wine menu
- Great food
Cons
- It can take some time to place a reservation
Otto E Mezzo has been known as one of Hong Kong’s top restaurants for special occasions. The restaurant has a romantic ambiance, and the service is really good.
We must admit that the complementary bread bucket with olive oil dip was very excellent. It was made with butter, parmesan, and black truffle for the homemade tagliolini.
The flavour of the black truffle was really potent. A must order every time we go, and I hope the server would never stop to shave more while serving it.
They unquestionably serve the greatest spaghetti in town, and we regularly get their fluffy, mildly sweet pear tart.
The welcoming bartenders and staff make us love the atmosphere of the bar even more. Excellent cocktails and a nice wine list. However, they are pricey, particularly when compared to pasta (and probably appetisers as well).
Of course, the dinner was intriguing and exceptional as genuine Italian fare paired with unique Sicilian volcanic wine.
There is no question about the food’s quality. There is practically nothing to complain about. The service was flawless, and the food pairing scored a perfect 98 out of 100.
Only near the entry, the bar area needs to be reorganised because some areas aren’t optimal for customers to stand and drink in.

Cons
- Overpriced
Trattoria Caffe Monteverdi was established in 2012 and continuous to serve guests from near and far.
Dining here gives you the chance to try classic dishes from Italy, specifically a taste of Italian grandmother’s traditional recipes.
What they’re going for is a feel of sitting in an Italian trattoria through their traditional pastas and wines. In fact they have an extensive list of wines to couple with your meal.
The place itself is cozy and warm, and spectacularly gives the feel of being in Italy with its great ambiance.

Pros
- Great ambiance and vibe
- Delectable dishes
- Uses the finest Italian ingredients
- Amazing staff
Cons
- Closed on Mondays
- Need booking
- Limited wine selection
LucAle is a neighbourhood Italian eatery in Sai Ying Pun.
We like its location on a discreet and charming alley adds to the ambiance. Its gives a feel of a place where you can have a relaxed drink and at the same time somewhere you can have a hearty meal of pasta and other Italian dishes.
What we love about this place is how they celebrate the best of Italy through their dishes made of the finest Italian ingredients.
Here they only use fine artisanal ingredients to create Italian favourites from homemade pastas to seafood and meat dishes. You can enjoy these with wine.
However, their wine selection is a tad bit limited and quite expensive for what they offer.
The place has a nice ambiance and vibe, and their incredible staff makes the experience even more pleasant.
Make sure to have a booking because the place tends to be full.
