The Great Room One Taikoo is a sweeping coworking space that occupies 24,000 sq. ft. in Swire Property’s brand new Triple Grade-A Office Tower.
It’s located in the middle of Taikoo Place, a place brimming with all sorts of hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops the moment you step out.
They offer different membership plans for a dedicated office, hot desks, da passes, and virtual offices. Their rates aren’t so bad either, especially for a luxe place such as this.
We also really like how they have a range of flexible office solutions, since this gives businesses or companies of various sizes a lot of options to choose from.
Working here was truly a unique experience in itself. With the floor to ceiling glass windows, we had a great view of Hong Kong.
Because it’s such a huge area, we didn’t have to worry about the space we’d take up when we needed to get to work.
The ambiance is also highly conducive for work, whether you need to work alone or with a group. We like the privacy that we were provided, even if there were quite a number of people inside as well.
As for the staff, they were very hospitable and attentive. The centre manager, Melanie, was approachable and didn’t bother to help when we had concerns.

Pros
- “5 Most Beautiful Co-Working Spaces in the World” by Forbes
- “20 Best Co-Working Spaces Across the Globe” by Huffington Post
- “Top 5 Co-Working Spaces in Hong Kong” by South China Morning Post
Cons
- Some membership plans don’t include weekend access
The Work Project was founded in 2016, specialising in high performance coworking spaces, with their philosophy being “Think Design”.
True enough, their Hong Kong location just might be one of the most gorgeous spaces we’ve stepped foot in.
They work with top architects to make their spaces more inviting, and we believe this is what makes them a globally recognised group.
We like how their offices are ergonomically designed, making it encouraging to work in. They have a serene atmosphere despite the hustle and bustle of people working.
Some coworking spaces can feel stuffy when a lot of people are around, but their space wasn’t so interruptive at all, and we actually got a lot of work done.
As for their amenities, they also provide all the necessary office equipment, and you can request for others if you find the need to.
Another thing we like about them is their staff who were so courteous and inviting. They’re able to tend to you without being too intrusive.
The location is also easily accessible since it’s right smack in the middle of Causeway Bay, so getting to other places isn’t so difficult.
Overall, it’s great, but their day rate is a bit more expensive compared to other coworking spaces.

Pros
- Rooftop access for a quick breather during breaks
- Mobile app access
- Delicious coffee
Cons
- Main hot desk area in Kowloon location lacks natural light
- Website isn’t updated
Ooosh Coworking is a company that delivers growth-centric collaborative solutions, and in Kowloon, their workspace spans about 15,000 sq. ft..
Our definite favourite thing about them is how much, much cheaper they are compared to other coworking spaces.
Although their area isn’t as fancy as the others, it’s still great to work in, and they have the standard amenities that coworking space should have.
They have coloured printing, delivery, concierge services, business mailing, and loads more. Working here was a breeze, and it wasn’t super loud either.
Staff are generally amicable and helpful. They don’t hover so you wouldn’t feel awkward at all. We like how they also give off a sense of community, and it’s very encouraging for work.
Apart from that, their WiFi is also super fast, and you don’t need to pay an extra fee just to get it, whereas other coworking spaces still charge for this service.
The space also has comfortable seating, although the hot desk area doesn’t get that much natural lighting because it’s in the middle of the floor.
In conclusion, Ooosh Coworking was very convenient and cost-effective, and it’s a good option if you’re on a budget. Plus their coffee is really good.

Pros
- Access to 5 other locations all over Hong Kong
- Exclusive invites to community events
- Strategic location
Cons
- More expensive than other coworking spaces
The Hive Wan Chai has 5 floors of open plan flexible workspaces and shared offices. They have hot desks, dedicated workstations, cosy private offices, and meeting rooms.
Being a Hive member enables you to use any of their locations in Hong Kong, such as QRC, Central, Sheung Wan, Kennedy Town, and Lai Chi Kok.
So if you find yourself needing to do work in any of these areas, it wouldn’t be such a hassle locating a space anymore.
As for The Hive Wan Chai, it’s a great coworking space that’s conveniently located near Wan Chai station. There’s a lot of restaurants and shops you can find nearby as well, and transit is also easily accessible.
Their coworking space has massive windows that allow for natural light, making it especially ambient. In turn, working becomes more enjoyable because of the atmosphere.
We like how there’s floors you can choose from, and if it’s a bit packed somewhere, you can easily move somewhere else.
A personal favourite of ours is the palm tree lined rooftop on the 21st floor sun terrace. It’s a chill place to unwind during breaks or after hours.
Their staff are also friendly and welcoming, and we appreciate The Hive team for being so attentive to our requests.

Pros

- No hidden fees, everything is laid out well
- Beautiful, well-designed spaces
Cons
- They only have one location
Banyan is one of the most highly top-rated coworking spaces in Hong Kong. And we were particularly excited for this one the most.
One look at their coworking space would give one the impression that the company placed heavy emphasis on sustainability, a reflection of their dedication to environmental awareness.
The entire area is fitted with locally and regionally sourced natural materials, energy-saving appliances, revamped accessories, and lots of natural lighting.
We just really adore how it was all designed to reduce environmental impact, and we believe it’s this passion that drives a lot of their clients to keep coming back.
They also have a program, the Giving Back initiatives, where we can choose to donate 2% of our membership fee to any four of their partner NGOs.
Working becomes more enjoyable when you know you’re giving back, and especially when you’re made aware of the cause you’re supporting through the company.
They’re very transparent about the services that they offer, and their staff are always happy to help around.
Lastly, the office is accessible 24/7 for members, and they can personalise their services and contracts to a high degree, providing members all the flexibility and assistance they need.
