The Best Pizza Places in Hong Kong, Handpicked by Our Pizzaholics

I’m not gonna lie. There’s probably leftover pizza sitting on my refrigerator right now. You can take that as proof that this slice of comfort food is one of my favorite go-to snacks even when it’s gone cold.

What’s not to like, right? Endless topping options, crusts for every preference, and not to mention it’s sold basically everywhere in the city.

My only struggle with pizza? Deciding what to order when the whole team is craving it, and everyone has different tastes!

Thankfully, our team’s veteran pizza peeps gave us a roster of their top and most-visited pizza places, and I’m sharing them with you!

Fiata Pizza

Must-tries: Diavola by Giovanni, La Mia Diavola, Provola e Pepe

Website

Fiata Pizza is the place to be if you’re in search of authentic Neapolitan pizza in Hong Kong. This secluded gourmet pizza spot in Central showcases options that are fried or baked in high heat, so you can expect crispy crusts with a fluffy center.

We’re not exaggerating when we say that Fiata Pizzas are so good they’re basically a celebrity in the city’s pizza scene. They even scored fourth place in the list of Top 50 Pizzerias in the Asia-Pacific Region 2024!

Our go-to order here is the Diavola by Giovanni with a side of Quattro Formaggi. These two are just perfect if you’re craving something savory and creamy with an intense spicy kick.

Meanwhile, if you wish to sample the pizza that earned several awards at the restaurant, you should definitely try the Provola e Pepe.

It’s basically a pizza topped with DOP San Marzano tomatoes and pulled-curd cheese that has a more delicate and nutty flavor than the usual pizza cheese toppings, so the flavor is unique.

And guess what? They serve Marinara pizza made with Vesuvio tomatoes sourced directly from Italy. Moreover, the restaurant also offers a good selection of wines and classic Italian cocktails.

Motorino (SoHo)

Location: 14 Shelley St, Central

Operating hours: Sunday to Thursday – 12 PM to 9:45 PM, Friday to Saturday – 12 PM to 10:45 PM

Contact details: +852 2801 6881

Must-tries: Margherita Pizza, Salsiccia Friarielli Pizza, La Stella Pizza

Price: $$

Website

Motorino is a Neapolitan-inspired pizzeria that offers pizzas baked in custom-made ovens. This is to achieve that distinct, lightly charred crust with a soft and gooey center.

All doughs used here are handmade throughout the day, and most ingredients are flown directly from Naples, so you’ll literally be served freshly made and authentic Napoletana pizza.

Of course, when we’re talking about Neapolitan pizzas, you can’t forget the classics. We love their take on Margherita and Sopressata Piccante, in particular. These are both no-frills pizzas that are best if you’re not a fan of overly flavored and cheesy pizzas.

Anyway, if you still have room for more Italian delights, make sure you check out their selection of antipasti and desserts. We can totally vouch for their Polpetter Al  Sugo and Shrimp Scampi.

Mother of Pizzas

Location: Ground Shop, 13, 19 Leighton Rd, Causeway Bay

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday – 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM

Contact details: +852 2891 2221

Must-tries: Garlic Cheese Bread, Pepperoni Super Saiyan, My Parma Pizza

Price: $$

Website

Mother of Pizzas in Causeway Bay definitely “mothered” on their pizza game because it combines the best of both worlds – wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and New-York-style pies.

Imagine this: giant NYC slices with tons of toppings boasting the thin, charred, and crispy crust of Neapolitan pizzas. Believe me when I say this pizza place can cater to almost all pizza connoisseurs.

You see, I’m one of those annoyingly picky pizza eaters who sometimes leave a ring crust on my plate after finishing a pizza – blame it on my obsession with cheese and toppings. But here, since the crust is so thin and crispy, you won’t want to leave a single bite behind!

If you’re a meat lover, you’ll enjoy their signature Pepperoni Super Saiyan. Meanwhile, if you’re a cheese-crazed pizza fan, you absolutely have to try their Crazy Cheese Pizza, featuring mozzarella, fontina, fior di latte, and Grana Padano cheese.

La Camionetta

Location: G/F, 12A Elgin St, Central

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday – 12 PM to 12 AM

Contact details: +852 6717 0082

Must-tries: La Camburrata Pizza, La Calabrese Pizza, La Bomba Pizza

Price: $$

Website

After a shopping spree or night out in SoHo, you might want to grab a slice of cheesy and meaty goodness at La Camionetta’s cozy pizzeria. We recommend this spot for those who prefer to enjoy their pizza alone in a quiet and less touristy area.

Craving that sweet and tangy taste of tomatoes? La Margherita and La Bomba are good picks, especially if you don’t mind a bit of spiciness.

But if you’re feeling adventurous, La Camionetta also offers white-base pizza varieties like La Camburrata, La Montagna, and La Mortadella.

No matter what you choose, make sure you pair it with one of La Camionetta’s selections of craft beers on tap!

Emmer Pizzeria & Café

Location: No. 407, Level 4, Shop, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Admiralty

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday – 8 AM to 10 PM

Contact details: +852 2780 1110

Must-tries: Margherita Pizza, Marinara Pizza, Funghi Pizza

Price: $$

Website

If you ever find yourself exploring Admiralty, don’t forget to check out Emmer Pizzeria & Café.

This pizzeria is all about serving a range of pizzas that won’t leave you feeling guilty about your calorie intake. You see, Emmer Pizzeria & Café crafts their own crusts using hand-milled grains, rye, and Italian flour, so they claim that their pizzas contain lower gluten and higher nutrients.

Well, aside from that, what keeps us coming back is, of course, the taste. Pizzas here are known for their puffy crust as well as pillowy center containing heaps of sauces and toppings.

The Parma Pizza is perfect for those who enjoy classic Margherita but want something new with it. This one’s a bit saltier because of the ham, but everything’s balanced by the peppery bite of its sauce.

Meanwhile, for adventurous foodies, we suggest you get the Funghi Pizza, which features portobello and cremini mushrooms as toppings.

Fini’s Italian American

Location: 49 Elgin St, Central

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday – 12 PM to 10 PM

Contact details: +852 2387 6338

Must-tries: Fini’s Marinara, Spicy Pepperoni Pizza, Cheese Pizza

Price: $$

Fini’s Italian American is one of our favorite casual restaurants in Central. It’s like a one-stop spot for all our comfort food cravings because it offers a selection of homemade pasta, New York pizzas, salads, desserts, and more!

And guess what? All the dishes here contain meat and ingredients sourced from local farms and suppliers, so you support fellow Hongkongers when you dine here!

Anyway, just like its name implies, this restaurant features both Italian and American cuisine. If you’re a meat lover, try the Homemade Pork Meatball and pair it with Chicken Parm Pizza or In & Out Burger Pizza. The Mafaldine Bolognese is also good!

The Pizza Project

Location: 地舖, G/F, 26 Peel Street, Central 中環蘇豪, 26號 Peel St, Central

Operating hours: Monday to Sunday – 12 PM to 10 PM

Contact details: +852 23111 1815

Must-tries: Carbonara Pizza, Margherita, Nduja Pizza

Price: $$

Website

The Pizza Project is another well-loved pizza joint in Central. It’s famous for its creative takes on pizzas and a lunch menu that changes weekly.

You’ll love this place if you enjoy posting and posing for the ‘gram. Well, The Pizza Project is like a total Instagram trap (in the best way possible) because it features walls with hanging teapots and dustpans as well as 50s-themed felt booths that give off a classy vintage aesthetic.

Of course, if you’re not into all that, the handmade pizzas here are definitely worth the trip. Here, you can try a range of unusual topping combinations and flavors. And yes, we’re talking about tuna chunks, prawns, and pineapples on pizzas!

There’s absolutely no judgment for Hawaiian Pizza lovers here because it’s one of The Pizza Project’s bestsellers. Can you believe it?

Well, if you prefer to try unique pizza combos, we also recommend their Gamberi Aglio e Olio and Carbonara Pizza.

Little Napoli Pizzeria

Location: Shop 1, 8 King Kwong St, Happy Valley

Operating hours: Tuesday – 5 PM to 9 PM, Wednesday to Thursday – 12 PM to 3 PM, 5 PM to 9 PM, Friday to Sunday – 12 PM to 3 PM, 5 PM to 10 PM, Monday – Closed

Contact details: +852 6882 1823

Must-tries: Margherita Pizza, Diavola Pizza, Funghi Pizza

Price: $$$

Website

Little Napoli is like a slice of Naples in Happy Valley. This hole-in-the-wall pizza joint serves a range of Neapolitan pizzas and well-loved Italian street foods like Ripieno Frittos and Sfogliatella Riccia.

Want to try unique pizzas you can’t easily find just anywhere? We suggest you order the Monaca Pizza with fancy San Marzano yellow tomato sauce or Boschiva Pizza featuring Black Parma coppa ham.

Meanwhile, classic picks like Margherita and Vesuviana Pizzas are made to order, so you might have to wait a bit more. Plus, they’re served whole, not sliced.

All in all, we can say that the pizzas here are well worth their hefty price tag. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small and has only a few seats. It can only accommodate a few customers, especially during the lunchtime rush.

Falcone

Location: Shop 1082, IFC Mall, 8 Finance St, Central

Operating hours: Sunday to Wednesday – 12 PM to 9:30 PM, Thursday to Saturday – 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM

Contact details: +852 2631 1190

Must-tries: Spinaci e Provola, Quattro Formaggi, Pesto e Mozarella

Price: $$$

Website

Craving pizza but want an upgrade from your usual pizza joint? Come visit Falcone at IFC Mall.

This pizzeria is set at an expansive venue, but don’t let this intimidate you! Despite its swanky interiors, Falcone is still a cozy and family-friendly dining spot. Here, you can indulge in a range of Neo-Neapolitan pizzas prepared in the pizzeria’s custom-made brick oven.

Speaking of pizzas, you can try creative renditions of Napoli pizzas here. That’s why if you’re looking for authentic Italian pies, Falcone’s not for you.

You see, what this restaurant means when they say Neo-Neapolitan pizzas is that they use new twists on techniques and ingredients to enhance classic Neapolitan recipes.

Some pizzas here even taste close to New York’s deep-dish pizzas, so you’re in for a surprising treat even if you order classic Napoli pizzas like Spinaci e Provola and Pesto e Mozzarella.

Dough Bros

Location: G/F, 25 Queen’s Rd E, Wan Chai

Operating hours: Sunday to Thursday – 11 AM to 10:30 PM, Friday to Saturday – 11 AM to 2 AM

Contact details: +852 2301 1302

Must-tries: The Pepperoni Supreme, The Carbonara, Sweet Chili Chicken Pizza

Price: $$

Website

Dough Bros keeps things pretty straightforward with their menu. No frills, no fuss, just pizzas and doughnuts.

This pizza and doughnut chain might be fairly new in the pizza game, but it’s already a hit. Dough Bros is known for their made-to-order and handmade sourdough pizzas like The Pepperoni Supreme and The Carbonara.

The best part? These pizzas all come with their signature Garlic and herb Dip, which you can savor with the pizza’s crispy crust. For just another HKD 10, you can also try other homemade dipping sauces, such as Truffle, Smokey BBQ, and Sweet Chili Dip.

Anyway, if you’re planning a pizza party with friends, we recommend you check out their sharing sets. These sets come with regular pizzas, little pan pizzas, and donuts, so you can save some cash and try a little bit of everything!
