Pros

  • Long operating hours daily
  • Delicious and well-presented vegan meals

Cons

  • Fairly limited menu
  • On the pricier side

Miss Lee is a Chinese fusion vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 2019, Miss Lee has developed strengths over the years that make it unique.

One of the first things you’ll notice about Miss Lee is the presentation. On our visit, everything we tried was presented in a way that made each dish look even more appetizing.

Looks aren’t everything, of course – and luckily, the meals served were delicious too. A 3-course lunch meal at Miss Lee also costs $208, which is on the higher end but still affordable given what you’re getting.

The food may be good, but Miss Lee’s menu is limited. The restaurant’s entire menu for their specials and lunch only has around a dozen items, which narrows your choices significantly if you’re the type who wants variety.

In our case, we didn’t mind too much. Smaller menus generally mean better and fresher food, as it makes ingredient stocking and quality control easier for kitchens.

The food portions also seem small, but most of the meals they serve are filling enough despite this.

Another thing we like about the restaurant is their long operating hours. Miss Lee is open daily, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 PM, making it easy for you to get their healthy and delicious vegan meals.

We had the chance to talk to other customers in the restaurant, and they praised Miss Lee for the friendly staff, beautiful food presentation, and contemporary and clean ambience.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Highly diverse menu
  • Decently sized food portions

Cons

  • It’s often hard to get a seat here!

Veggie 4 Love is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Hong Kong. Aside from its beautiful 50s retro ambience, the restaurant has other strengths that would make you consider visiting.

One of the things we like about Veggie 4 Love is its highly diverse menu. The restaurant offers plant-based meals from all over the world, such as a “Peking duck” made of vegetables, burgers, and others.

The food they serve is decently portioned and incredibly delicious, and even some of the non-vegan customers we talked to said they enjoyed it. The food presentation is also a plus.

Another thing we like about the restaurant is its accessibility. Veggie 4 Love is open daily and is only a three-minute walk from Exit D2 of the Central MTR Station, making it one of the most accessible vegan restaurants in Hong Kong.

When we visited, though, the place was crowded… and it’s apparently like this on most days. As such, we recommend booking a reservation or coming in earlier to avoid any inconvenience.

However, expect the place to be packed around lunch and dinner rush hours.

Anyway, they’re often packed for a reason, so it’s worth it even if you have to wait. We talked to other customers during our visit, and they said they enjoyed the food and the quick and attentive service.

Pros

  • Multiple locations
  • Long operating hours
  • Diverse menu with customizable meals
  • Big portions

Cons

  • Another one where it’s hard to find a seat

TREEHOUSE is a vegan restaurant in Hong Kong that offers its services without harming the environment in any way.

One of the things that we liked about TREEHOUSE is the restaurant itself. Aside from the modern, comfortable ambience, we also appreciated their use of sustainable materials for their furniture and decor.

The items inside their venue were made of recycled plastic, reclaimed wood, and eco-cement.

In addition to this, we also commend TREEHOUSE for the quality of their food. The meals they serve are delicious, customisable, and filling because of the portion size.

And the sauces they use in their food are vegan too, of course!

Another of the restaurant’s strengths is that it has multiple locations. With two stores and a delivery service, TREEHOUSE can serve you vegan food wherever you are in Hong Kong.

Despite the place’s accessibility, it is essential to note that the restaurants can easily get crowded, especially during lunch. As such, you might want to make use of their delivery services or arrive earlier.

We asked customers their opinion about the establishment, and they said they liked the food best. Someone we talked to even said that TREEHOUSE made them realise that healthy food need not sacrifice taste, which is as good a testimony as it gets.

Pros

  • Long operating hours
  • Purely vegan menu
  • Affordable meals

Cons

  • Small portions

LN Fortunate Coffee, or LN Coffee, is a cafe and vegan restaurant in Hong Kong that offers a vegan-only menu.

This menu is one of LN Coffee’s strengths, as its patrons will not have to worry whether or not they are consuming animal products. The menu is diverse too, which is a plus.

We also enjoyed the food the cafe serves. The portion sizes are relatively small, but the food is delicious and affordable.

As such, we believe that the restaurant is perfect for satisfying your everyday (vegan) cravings.

Another of LN Coffee’s strengths is its location. The restaurant is only a few minutes’ walk away from the Sai Ying Pun MTR station, and it operates for long hours, making its products easily accessible to hungry customers.

The venue has a calm and relaxing ambience and is surprisingly not crowded, which makes it a lovely spot for relaxing with friends and enjoying meals.

We talked to other LN Coffee customers, and they praised the restaurant for its extensive menu and accessibility.

Something they also appreciated (and we liked, since it’s a bit unusual) is that the cafe sells vegan ingredients, so customers can make their meals at home.

Pros

  • Spacious, comfortable restaurant
  • Has a diverse Asian menu
  • Accessible with long operating hours

Cons

  • Relatively expensive

Root Vegan is an Asian and Western fusion vegan restaurant in Hong Kong that offers coffee, tea, and 100% plant-based meals.

One of the things we like about Root Vegan is the food they serve. Although slightly more expensive than other restaurants, the food at Root Vegan is delicious, filling, and tastes fresh.

It is worth noting that some of the food served has relatively small portions compared to other restaurants, but it does not take away from the fact that they can leave you feeling satisfied. We think part of this is due to their style of cooking.

There’s a home-cooked style to a lot of the dishes that leaves you with a sense of having eaten comfort food. Talking to the other customers, we found that we weren’t alone in getting this impression from the restaurant’s offerings.

The extensive menu is also worth noting, as the restaurant offers meals with a touch of Thai and other Asian flavours. As such, Root Vegan is a good place to start exploring international food while staying true to your plant-based diet.

The restaurant also has a menu that varies with the season, so you can come back next time and have a whole new set of dishes to explore.

We also like the location itself, as it is highly accessible. Root Vegan is also open daily and is a walking distance away from the MTR station, allowing you to visit after work hours.

We interviewed some of the customers during our visit, and they told us they enjoyed Root Vegan’s diverse food. In addition to the taste, they appreciated the home-cooked style of the dishes.
