Toki Studio, a dainty boutique ceramic studio nestled on a lineup of restaurants and bars in Island East, is fairly accessible, so come visit if you’re ever in Quarry Bay.
The name literally translates to “Pottery Studio” and the place was created by owner Jennifer Tai after she pursued the art of poetry in Japan. She created this space to help pottery enthusiasts and experts hone their skills in wedging, wheel-throwing, glazing, hand-building, and more.
This studio offers beginner-friendly pottery and ceramics workshops that you can take one lesson at a time. Of course, it would be better to take all the intro classes in one day for you to get a full grasp of the basic pottery skills.
Nonetheless, if you already know the basics, you can proceed to the intermediate lessons to enhance your craftsmanship and create functional ware and sets.
That said, it’s best to note that Toki doesn’t have a fixed course fee because the instructors here tailor each lesson, material, and project depending on the client’s aptitude and requirements.
