Indo Market is one of the largest Southeast Asian specialty supermarket chains in Hong Kong. It has 23 branches across the territories, but its flagship store is nestled in the city’s hub of Indonesian stores – Causeway Bay

Here you’ll find fresh and dried Indonesian herbs and spices, coconut milk, delectable snacks and treats, as well as hard-to-find Indonesian ingredients. A treasure trove, we promise you!

Just a quick tip, though – if you don’t want to jostle with the large crowd of Indonesian helpers who usually purchase Indonesian groceries here on their free day, avoid going on Sundays.

Curiously, it has its own mobile application, the Maharaja Mart app. This app is available in Google Play and Apple Apps Store, so you can conveniently do online shopping anytime and anywhere you want.

This family-owned store has been providing premium and naturally farmed and processed spices, ingredients, and blends since 1951. Most of the spices here are offered wholesale, but the store also offers small batches and made-to-order spices and blends.

Guu San is a 5,000-square-foot independent Japanese grocery and lifestyle store in Tsim Sha Tsui. Unlike other typical stores, it’s like an all-in-one space where you can shop, eat, and relax. 

You see, Guu San is divided into three zones – the Sawaya, Kome Korner, and The Salfee Bar. 

In Sawaya, you can find unpackaged bulk-buy food, snacks, drinks, and fresh produce from Japan. This zone is basically a zero-waste grocery store because the products and food offered here are not individually packaged. Customers are even encouraged to bring their own reusable containers and bags. 

After shopping, you can drop by the Kome Korner and enjoy a range of light Japanese meals and snacks that are made daily in-store. Some of the dishes you can try here are omusubi rice balls, miso soup, and a range of vegetable dishes.
