The concept seemed gimmicky at first, but we were proven wrong when we saw the countless awards they’ve garnered globally, from Australia, UK, Singapore, and Malaysia.

They have mattresses and pillows for sale, and at a price point below HK$5,000 for a mattress, we think it’s pretty much affordable for the quality.

Their mattresses come in a wide array of sizes, from single small to king long. It’s a good thing that there’s a lot of options to choose from. 

We tried one and found that its firmness is just right, warranting comfort and support all throughout the night. It’s firm without being too hard on the body, and it feels so relaxing despite the sleeping position.

We think this is a great pick for those with back problems, kids, and even elders. Plus they’re certified to be free from harmful chemicals, heavy metals, and ozone depleters.

They also offer a 4-month trial and a pretty decent warranty period, so that’s a definite win for us.

Skyler Mattress is a homegrown mattress brand that seems to keep gaining traction and demand for its fairly affordable price and specialised design that makes it easier to pack.

Presently they have two types of mattresses for sale, the Skyler Mattress (10”) and Skyler Lite Mattress (6”). They also offer a variety of pillows, toppers, and mattress protectors.

With a price point beginning at HK$4,280, we can say that Skyler Mattress is comparably cheaper than other mattress brands made with similar materials.

At first glance, we like its dark blue sides that are soft to the touch.The mattress has three layers: natural latex layer, gel memory foam, and high-density support foam.

Their mattress is also firm and offers ample support. However, its covers can only be washed in cold water, so this might be an issue when it comes to getting rid of bed bugs and germs which require a higher temperature.

Our favourite thing about their mattresses is how they’re able to fit inside a box, regardless of size. Each also comes in a box with wheels, making it easier to lug around.

We got curious how an innovative take on a product could come at such an affordable price, and we found that they mostly sell their products online, but they also have a store located at Island Beverley Shopping Mall.

Heveya is another local brand that produces quality mattresses made out of natural organic latex. It’s a brand fuelled by a passion for environmental sustainability and wellness.

They also sell specially made pillows, bed bases, accessories, and other customised products. We like how all these are made from natural and organic materials.

Their mattresses come in three varieties that come in queen size as a default, but we found that these can be customised into other sizes as well. 

Pricewise, it’s more expensive in comparison to other mattress brands, but we think the materials used as well as the overall quality more than make up for it. 

Since their mattresses are made from rubber latex, we wouldn’t have to worry about durability, unlike coil mattresses which can be more painful to lie down on for longer periods of time.

The firmness and softness of their mattresses are also something else, and we believe it’d be a good deal for anyone having back pains and sleeping problems.

As for accessibility, they have a showroom in Central Hong Kong with attending sleep consultants, as well as a virtual showroom equipped with a mattress and pillow selector.

One thing we found impressive is their 100 nights free trial, where you can try the mattress at home and have it swapped for a different one if the firmness isn’t to your liking.

We’re extra particular about comfort, so we had to see what makes their mattresses different from the rest. We were glad to find that both mattresses offer plenty of support and pressure relief.

Their mattresses are designed to adapt to one’s body and sleep position, and there’s also pressure relief from the layers of foam for plush comfort, so that’s a check for us.

Apart from that, they offer free in-home setup, making it easily accessible, and there’s a 12-year HushCare warranty.

With a price point beginning at HK$3,500, it’s definitely a good value for a mattress that’s used by a few renowned high-end hotels in Hong Kong.

Overall, we see just why Hush Home is a multi-awarded brand for mattresses and furniture, and they’ve been featured in numerous lifestyle magazines too.

Comma Sleep started in 2017 and is built on the principle of helping people sleep better through simple, accessible designs. They also have beddings, pillows, and accessories for sale.

Their mattresses come in different sizes: petit single, single, twin, double, and queen. With prices beginning at HK$4,300, we think it’s a pretty good deal given the quality of its materials and comfort.

We think it’s worth noting that their mattresses are a combination of inner-spring, foam, and latex to make something that can give just the right support and comfort.

To our surprise, we found that they don’t use memory foam at all, saying that it lacks rigidity and isn’t as durable, so that’s something we took note of.

Like most stores that have online purchasing options, they also have a 100-night home trial for mattresses and a 30-night home trial for toppers. We always find this feature reassuring since it gives us the option to have items exchanged.

Buying a mattress can also be stressful in terms of transporting it from the store to your home, but Comma Sleep has received quite a few praises for their free next-day delivery services.

Generally, we can say that Comma Sleep is a good option for an affordable and sturdy mattress that can be delivered straight to your door.
