Pros

- Owners and chef are from Spain
- Restaurant is located near Central Station exit
- Extensive menu
Cons
- Venue can be quite crowded
Ole Spanish Restaurant is a Spanish restaurant owned by a native Spaniard. The restaurant was established in 1998, making it one of the oldest Spanish restaurants in Hong Kong.
One of the things we like about Ole is its chef, a Spanish man with training in other Michelin-star restaurants. As such, we experienced authentic and high-quality Spanish food during our visit.
The restaurant has the decor of traditional and rustic design, making it feel comfortable yet completely foreign at the same time. However, the space is a bit cramped, which can be an inconvenience, especially during inevitable lunch and dinner rushes.
Another thing we like about Ole is its diverse menu, offering a variety of soups, salads, paella, and other Spanish food. The price is on the expensive end, but the food’s taste and quality make us believe it’s worth it.
The food we had was delicious, with the spices being in harmony with other ingredients. The restaurant also serves the food in large portions, which makes it all the more satisfying.
In addition, the restaurant also offers a wide selection of Spanish wines and alcoholic beverages, which is a plus.
We talked to other customers, and they told us they enjoyed Ole’s professional staff, rapid service, and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant.

Pros
- Long operating hours
- Chef-owner is from Barcelona
- Diverse menu
Cons
- Pricey food
La Paloma is a Spanish restaurant owned and headed by Alex Fargas, a Spaniard from Barcelona.
As you enter the restaurant, you can see that the owner tried to capture the feel of his hometown. The colourful seats, the decor, the signs written in Spanish, and even the outdoor terrace create an atmosphere of cosiness and humility.
Aside from the venue, another of La Paloma’s strengths is its food. The restaurant’s expertise seems to be tapas, which they serve at all times of the day.
These tapas come in different varieties, primarily using seafood such as scallops, anchovies, and sardines.
The restaurant also offers a diversity of drinks, from soft drinks, juices, and coffee to beer and cocktails.
We found the food and drinks delicious and fresh, but the cocktails were average. The meat used in the food was also cooked in clay ovens, giving the restaurant and the dishes served an authentic Spanish taste.
However, it is essential to note that La Paloma’s food is quite pricey, as the brunch tapas already cost $398 per person.
We talked to the restaurant’s other customers, and they praised La Paloma for the delicious food, the comfortable ambience, and the long operating hours.

Pros
- Long operating hours
- Extensive list of wine and sangria
- Offers vegetarian options
Cons
- Limited menu
Pica Pica is a Spanish restaurant in Hong Kong that modernises traditional Spanish delicacies.
One of the things we like about Pica Pica is the food. We enjoyed how delicious the food was and how the restaurant served them in large portions.
We also like how extensive the selection of wine and sangria is, making the meals more exciting and enjoyable.
The restaurant also serves vegetarian and vegan options, which is a plus.
However, it is necessary to note that Pica Pica’s menu is limited primarily to tapas and some rice and fideo. This narrow selection of food may be a turn-off for those looking for more diverse and authentic Spanish dining.
Another thing we like about Pica Pica is the establishment itself. The venue was spacious and comfortable.
We also like the atmosphere it exudes, as the decor combines traditional and modern aesthetics. Pica Pica also had full-view glass windows, allowing natural light to seep into the establishment.
We had the chance to talk to other customers. During our interviews, Pica Pica customers said that they enjoy the restaurant’s good food, excellent and professional service, and the reasonable pricing of the menu items.
They also said that they appreciate how long the operating hours are, as Pica Pica continuously serves its customers from noon to midnight.

22 Ships is a Spanish restaurant that primarily offers tapas but also serves main dishes, cheeses, and a variety of wines and sangria. Since its establishment in 2012, it seems that 22 Ships has accumulated certain strengths that set it apart from others.
One of these advantages is evident in the food that the restaurant serves. 22 Ships offers authentic, multi-regional tapas and meals that taste fresh and balanced.
The chef, Antonio Oviedo, was born in Madrid, too, making the food taste close to those served in his hometown.
We also like the diversity of the restaurant’s menu. 22 Ships offers different meals such as Rubia Gallega beef, roasted pig, lamb, and a large carabineros paella.
The prices of these meals are on the expensive side, but the large food portions and the overall experience make us believe that it’s worth every dollar.
We also appreciate how the restaurant offers deliveries so you can enjoy their food in the comfort of your home.
Another thing we like about 22 Ships is the restaurant itself, which has a rustic and modern feel. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you can hear and smell the food they are cooking, adding to your excitement when the food arrives.
We also had the chance to talk to 22 Ships’ other customers, and they praised the restaurant for its quick service, delicious food, and modern yet comfortable atmosphere.

Pros
- Long operating hours
- Food is filling and served in large portions
- Spacious venue
Cons
- Food is expensive
- Food taste is reportedly inconsistent
La Rambla is a Spanish restaurant that offers a diverse, authentic menu from Catalonia. The chef, Rafa Gil, is a Spaniard with years of experience, which is a plus.
One of the things we like about La Rambla is the spacious venue. The restaurant’s area has a total space of 5,000 square feet and a backdrop of the Hong Kong city skyline, making it cosy and romantic, especially during the sunset or at nighttime.
The restaurant also offers outdoor seating on its terrace, which can be more comfortable.
Another thing we like about La Rambla is the food that they serve. The restaurant’s food tastes fresh and delicious, is presented well, and is served in large portions.
The food is incredibly filling, too, making the restaurant a great place to have lunch or dinner after a long day. We appreciate how the food that they advertised as 1 kilogram is huge and can be shared with at least two to three other people.
However, be warned that eating at La Rambla can be quite expensive. You could expect to pay around 500 per person, which is the average of what some of the customers we talked to said they spent in the restaurant.
