Pros

  • Close to malls and nightlife
  • Amenities and services are similar to hotels
  • Short and long-term leases are available

Cons

  • Room may be noisy

218 Apartment offers a variety of rooms that range anywhere from 320 to 650 square feet. Unlike other room rentals in Hong Kong, we like how 218 Apartment units have hotel-like services to match.

All units get a bedroom, a closet, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. When you rent, you will also get  24/7 security and concierge services.

We also appreciate the free self-service laundry and dryer, which are especially valuable for long-term tenants.

Aside from these services, we also like how affordable the rent is. 218 Apartment’s room rental begins at around $19,200, which is reasonable considering the facilities and services that come with each room.

Entering the rooms, we noticed how clean and neat it is. Although it’s not as big as a full-sized apartment unit, the space and facilities are enough to make your stay comfortable.

We also like how close the property is to malls, making it easy to get your necessities.

We had the chance to talk to other tenants, and they praised 218 Apartment’s accessibility, cleanliness, and unlimited internet access. However, some did complain that the lower floors can be noisy at times and that windows stay shut.

Overall, we believe 218 Apartment is the best match for those looking for reasonably priced room rentals in Hong Kong with decent facilities.

Pros

  • Affordable rent
  • Multiple locations and unit types

Cons

  • Room types vary depending on location

YesInSpace is a company that offers different types of apartments and room rentals in Hong Kong.

One of YesInSpace’s primary advantages is its multiple locations, allowing tenants to choose which place they find closest to their jobs or schools. YesInSpace has properties in Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong Island, Causeway Bay, and Prince Edward.

We like how YesInSpace’s rooms are highly affordable, with rent starting at around $5,000 a month across all locations. However, it is crucial to note that the rooms in different places have different amenities.

For example, the single studio room in Mong Kok has a kitchenette with a cooking set that is unavailable for the budget single studio on Hong Kong Island.

Nevertheless, all locations have free wi-fi, air-conditioning, refrigerator, and housekeeping services.

We also like how the properties are close to the subways and other public transportation, making it easy for you to get your necessities.

In addition, we also appreciate how quiet the rooms are despite the bustling cities below.

We had the chance to talk to other tenants, and they said they liked the properties’ accessibility, rooms’ cleanliness, and helpful and responsive staff. However, they did note how unstable the wi-fi is at times, which is only a minor setback.

Overall, we believe YesInSpace is the perfect match for students and overseas visitors looking for temporary and affordable lodging without sacrificing privacy and comfort.

Pros

  • Highly accessible location
  • Offers numerous amenities

Cons

  • Relatively more expensive
  • Small rooms may be too small

The Nate offers numerous room rentals in Hong Kong of varying sizes. You can get a small place for yourself or rent out a unit with a balcony so you can get a better view of the outside.

One of Nate’s advantages is its amenities. The residences provide large windows and beds, TVs, wi-fi, plenty of storage space, a private bathroom, and weekly housekeeping and linen change services.

Other facilities, such as the kitchen, living space, and laundry, are communal areas that may allow tenants to interact and communicate with each other.

We also like the diversity of rooms that Nate offers. These rooms range anywhere from 125 square feet to 260 square feet in size.

Although the smallest rooms are a bit too cramped in our opinion, we still believe that it’s a decent choice for temporary lodging or for single people looking for a place to stay on their own.

Another strength that Nate has is its accessible location. The residences are only a 5-minute walk away from the MTRs and a walking distance away from numerous malls and shops, making it easy to get what you need as quickly as possible.

We also had the chance to talk to other tenants, who all praised the residence’s cleanliness and proximity to necessities, and the responsive and patient staff.

Nate’s facilities and location make it a great room rental option, especially if you don’t mind paying a bit more in exchange for more comfort.

Pros

  • Highly affordable
  • Great location nearby stations and shops

Cons

  • Amenities are minimal

Rent-a-Room offers a variety of room rentals in Hong Kong, ranging from units with single beds to dormitories and 4-person rooms.

One of Rent-a-Room’s biggest strengths is its location. The residence is only a two-minute walk away from the MTR station and a few steps away from the Temple Street Night Market and Kowloon Park.

The area is also surrounded by shops, restaurants, cinemas, and various businesses, making it easy for you to get what you need or relax when you want to.

Another of Rent-a-Room’s strengths is its affordability. The rent for their smallest bedroom starts at around $500, making it easily one of the cheapest choices in the region.

Of course, this means that the amenities are less than what you’d get from their competitors. Rent-a-Room offers fully furnished rooms with an internet connection and private telephone line, a small pantry, private bathrooms, an electronic safe, and other bare necessities.

We had the chance to talk to other tenants. They praised the simple amenities and the clean, compact rooms.

Overall, we believe that Rent-a-Room is one of the best choices for those simply looking for an affordable place to sleep in with the barest minimum of facilities.

Pros

  • Fully-furnished rooms with numerous amenities
  • Accessible location

Cons

  • Road to residence is a bit steep
  • Relatively more expensive

Eaton Residences offers a variety of serviced apartments and room rentals in Hong Kong. Although their prices may come at a relatively higher price, the residence provides numerous amenities and facilities in return.

Each room in Eaton Residences has a fully-fitted kitchenette, a smart TV with international channels, air-conditioning and water heating, a complimentary internet connection, and housekeeping services.

We also like how there is a gym and outdoor swimming pool, a rooftop garden, and 24-hour concierge and security services, which make you feel like you’re checked in at a hotel.

We also like Eaton’s accessibility. The residence is located 10 minutes from the subway, and there are markets and shops outside where you can purchase food and other necessities.

However, it is essential to know that you would need to climb a fairly steep road to get to the residence, which should be no problem for a healthy adult but would probably tire out more elderly citizens.

We had the opportunity to talk to other tenants, and they say they like the professional and friendly staff and how all their needs are already inside their rooms, including cookware and laundry.

Overall, we believe Eaton Residences is a good match for those looking for more high-end room rentals in Hong Kong.
