Regardless of what kind of funeral ceremony you choose, you can still avail of almost the same kinds of services. All families that pick Universal can task them with handling the necessary documentations, procedures, and applications for scattering ashes or picking a burial spot.

One of Kowloon’s biggest strengths is its facilities. The funeral parlour has 2 three-story buildings that house 16 halls that vary in size.

These parlours have a seating capacity of around 40 – 320 people. Kowloon also has a chapel on their third floor and various visitation rooms. 

On their website, the funeral parlour says these halls can be decorated and personalized to cater to all faiths and cultures. This makes Kowloon a great choice for families with religious and cultural ceremonies that differ from the majority of Hong Kong’s citizens.

Kowloon also offers a wide range of services that encompass the entire funeral ceremony from start to finish. This includes everything from advisory and documentation services to embalming and floral arrangements. 

Despite these, one of the disadvantages that Kowloon has is that it does not list a price table for their services nor a price range. As such, you will have to communicate with them beforehand before you can get an idea of how much their products and serviceswould cost.

However, you may not need to worry as much. We interviewed some of the people they previously served and they said that Kowloon’s offers are reasonably priced. 

White Lily Funeral Services and Funeral Homes offers more customizability when compared to other funeral homes in Hong Kong. We believe that this flexibility is the funeral home’s biggest strength, but it comes with certain issues. 

They offer both “Christian and non-religious” funeral services. The funeral home’s wording may imply both an advantage and disadvantage.

On one hand, this means White Lily can cater to more personalized celebrations of life which would truly encapsulate how the deceased lived. 

The funeral home can even help add more personal touches to the ceremony such as video montages, live music, themed printed programs, and the like. 

On another hand, this might mean that White Lily is only a great option for Christian and secular families, with no options to cater other cultures and religions. 

Much like other funeral homes in Hong Kong, White Lily also offers assistance in matters such as getting documentation, burial and cremation, and booking invitations and transportation.

They can also help you book churches or other venues for you to conduct funeral rites in.

Another thing we like about White Lily is the large catalogue of cremation urns that they offer. The funeral home has over 40 cremation urns that come in different shapes, colors, and patterns. 

You can visit their site to see a glimpse of all the services they can offer. However, the site’s information is kept to a minimum, which isn’t ideal for customers who want convenience.

Po Fook Hill Memorial Hall is a funeral home in Hong Kong with a handful of strengths.

Po Fook Hill’s strengths lie in its funeral service’s customizability. According to them, the funeral home caters to all kinds of Chinese and Western funeral customs with staff ready to assist in every way. 

We also interviewed one of the people they served previously and they said that Po Fook Hill offers services for families of Taoist, Buddhist, and Christian backgrounds. 

Po Fook Hill’s accessibility to clients is a bit problematic. 

On one hand, the building they have is close to train stations and bus stops. The funeral home even offers a free shuttle bus ride to and from the Tai Wai station. 

The shuttle bus runs its route every 10 to 15 minutes, keeping your waiting time to a minimum. However, they do not have any guest parking which can be inconvenient for some families. 

Another thing we like about Po Fook Hill is that they have long operating hours. Despite closing at 10 PM, the funeral home’s hotline is open 24/7 which makes it a good choice for those with strict schedules or emergency enquiries. 

One of Po Fook Hill’s biggest downsides, however, is its website. To say that the site has minimal information is an understatement, as they did not include much of the helpful information that could help families make better decisions.
