Pros

  • Diverse menu
  • Has a live DJ
  • Relatively affordable prices

Cons

  • Occasional delays in service

OZONE is a rooftop bar in Hong Kong situated on the 118th floor of a building, making it one of the highest rooftop bars in the world.

One of the things we like about OZONE is its ambience, as such. Aside from the beautiful view of Victoria Harbour and the entire west side of Hong Kong Island, the bar greets you with moody blue hues and fancy decor the moment you enter.

The rooftop bar also has a DJ handling live music, which is a plus.

We also enjoyed the diversity of OZONE’s menu. The bar offered numerous cocktails and beverages, as well as Japanese food, oysters, tapas, and desserts.

Aside from nighttime drinks, OZONE also offers brunch on Sundays, so you can enjoy the stunning view as you enjoy your afternoon meal.

We appreciated the bar’s staff, who were all professional and helpful during our visit.

We had the chance to talk to their other customers, too, and they praised the ambience, the music, and the creative drinks. They also said they liked the pricing of the menu items, which they expected to be expensive but said was more reasonable than other high-end bars.

However, they noted that sometimes, cocktails took some time to be served, even if the place wasn’t that busy.

Pros

  • Extensive and diverse menu
  • Has a private area
  • Wide outdoor terrace

Cons

  • Reports of slow service

Popinjays is a rooftop bar in Hong Kong primarily serving European gastronomy and offers a great view of the Central skyline.

One of the things we like about Popinjays is its venue, which offers both a comforting ambience and an elegant feel. This feeling is even more apparent in the evening, as you hang out on their 420 square metres open-air terrace reflecting in the city’s nighttime glow.

Another thing we liked during our visit was the food and drinks that the rooftop bar offers. Popinjays has an extensive selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, from cocktails, wine, and rum to juices and mocktails.

They also offer food to accompany your drinks, such as sausages, croquetas, and sliders.

One more strength of Popinjays is its private venue called the Aviary, which offers splendid seating, especially for more intimate gatherings. We believe it is perfect for business meets, celebrations, and other gatherings with people you’re close with.

We had a chat with the other customers at Popinjays, and they took note of the professional staff, the delicious food and drinks, and the relatively reasonable prices.

However, some said that there are instances when service slows down, presumably due to a lack of staff.

Pros

  • Beautiful panoramic view of the city
  • Beautiful, luxurious decor
  • Diverse food options

Cons

  • Venue is often packed
  • High prices

SEVVA is a rooftop bar in Hong Kong that offers drinks and food that are a combination of Asian and Western cuisine.

One of the most notable aspects of SEVVA is the venue. The rooftop bar has vertical gardens and an open-air terrace that gives off a modern and luxurious vibe.

For us, the terrace is exceptional since it provides a panoramic view of the city and Victoria Harbour, allowing you to take in more of the scenery compared to other rooftop bars in Hong Kong.

Another thing we like about SEVVA is its global menu. The bar and restaurant serve everything from signature fried chicken to bento boxes and pasta.

SEVVA also has a diverse selection of drinks. However, there are two things to note regarding the food.

Firstly, the food and drinks SEVVA serves are highly expensive, which could be surprising for first-timers. Second, the bar and restaurant’s menu is unavailable online, so you would have to visit the place to see what they have to offer.

We had the opportunity to talk to some SEVVA regulars, and they praised the bar for its aesthetics and food but said that reservations might be necessary since the place is often packed with people.

Pros

  • Has a virtual tour on the website
  • Spacious and comfortable outside deck

Cons

  • Relatively expensive menu items

Sugar is a rooftop bar in Hong Kong located on the 32nd floor of a hotel. Despite not being very high up, we believe Sugar still offers one of the most stunning views of Hong Kong.

Sugar’s outdoor deck is spacious and is decorated with lounge sofas and umbrellas at every table. This setup allows you to comfortably take in as much of the city skyline as you are bathed with warm lights and cool purple accent tones.

We appreciate that the bar included a virtual venue tour on its website. This would make it easier to see how lovely the place is before your visit.

Aside from the deck, we also enjoyed the rooftop bar’s extensive menu. Sugar offers a variety of snacks and tapas, drinks, and cocktails, which we found delicious.

As expected, the prices of these items are quite high. However, it might be of some comfort that some of the drinks, including bottled wines, are relatively more affordable compared to other bars’ offers.

During our conversations with other customers, we found that clients enjoyed Sugar’s service and comfort the most. Other customers we talked to also praised the food and drinks but complained that it’s too expensive for their tastes.

Pros

  • Long operating hours
  • Lovely view of Victoria Harbour
  • Spacious and comfortable seating

Cons

  • High per-table pricing

SKYE is a rooftop bar in Hong Kong that offers a stunning view of Victoria Harbour. With a perfect view for sunsets or the breathtaking city skyline, SKYE is a lovely place for dates and casual dinners with loved ones.

The rooftop bar sits on the 27th floor, with a total area of 8,000 square feet. As such, you are sure to get a comfortable seat and a wide view of the bay.

One of the things we enjoy about SKYE is its diverse menu of drinks. The rooftop bar offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from all over the world, from wines and rum to Taiwanese whiskey, coffee, and tea.

Since the venue is luxurious and elegant, the price of the food and drinks offered are unsurprisingly high. However, we believe that the quality of drinks and service more than makes up for the cost.

We also appreciate SKYE’s long operating hours, which start from 12:00 noon to 12:00 or 1:00 AM, depending on the day. The bar is also open on the eve of public holidays, which is a plus.

However, a major downside to SKYE is the price you have to pay to sit on their outdoor deck. The rooftop bar charges at least $3,000 to $6,000 per table, depending on the day you visit.

This excludes the price of food and drinks, which is quite disappointing.

We had a chance to talk to SKYE regulars, and they said they enjoy the food, drinks, comfort, and view, which keeps them coming back.
