Papabo is one of the most in-demand handyman providers in the country and we can see why. For starters, they offer a wide array of services, one of which is roof waterproofing.

Roof leaks are common in Hong Kong and they aim to change that with this service by offering effective solutions.

It also helps that the handymen they’ll provide you with are licensed so you’ll know you’re in good hands. We found this out because people can only join Papabo’s team if they can present a professional handyman license.

We also had high hopes for this company because apparently, it offers one of the most convenient ways of getting a handyman. Upon closer look, we found out that they have an in-depth app that lets you book a handyman in a few taps.

They’ve done a great job nailing down everything in this app, from how it works to the user interface. However, we found that the app can be a double-edged sword sometimes, as it also plays a part in its biggest con.

From what we’ve seen, their website/app becomes too laggy when quite a number of people are trying to get a hold of one of their handymen at the same time.

Furthermore, their customer service channels aren’t too responsive, when these matters occur. We can see this combination worsening the frustrations of their clients, so we hope they find a solution to it soon.

One of the things that immediately stood out to us about HelloJack! was that it was founded by handymen, architects and contractors. This instantly gave us that feeling of confidence because we felt that they knew what they were doing.

Fortunately, we weren’t wrong with our first impression, as we saw how their past projects turned out on their website. Furthermore, some of our interviewees felt the same, noting that the handymen assigned to them exuded professionalism and expertise.

Not only that, but some also noted that they were informative throughout the entire process of their partnership. They would teach homeowners things like how to prevent certain damages from happening, how to spot damages, steps to take, etc.

We appreciate this kind of service because we know that anything they teach will be beneficial in the long run.

Moreover, we love how they value the quality of their work by offering a quality assurance program. This tells us that they value constructive criticism and are willing to improve.

Moving over to their mobile app, we found tht it sort of works like Grab. Here, all clients have to do is make a few taps on their phones and a handyman will be assigned to them—just like that.

The problem with their app, however, is that it’s still in its developing stage, so there may be some bugs here and there. Furthermore, we felt that the prices they were charging were a bit too high.

All in all, we still think that HelloJack! is one of the more reliable companies Hongkongers can turn to for roof repairs and installations. 

After all, they have a talented team of architects, designers and contractors and they provide solutions with 100% success rates!

Dr. Fix It All caught our attention in our search for roofing repairs in Hong Kong because of its catchy name. 

Fortunately, it did live up to its name, as it features a handful of services that provide solutions for just about every problem Hongkongers can encounter with their homes.

For the sake of this review, we only focused on their roof repair service. Safe to say, we found that they don’t disappoint in this area, and we like to think that it has something to do with their longevity.

After all, Dr. Fix It All has been around since 2004, so we can expect that experience will come into play here. Add to that the licensed handymen that they have on their roster and you’ve got yourself a reliable and efficient team.

The only thing we didn’t like about Dr. Fix It All is that they charge above-average rates for their inspection fees.

It’s one thing to have an inspection fee, but having expensive rates just for checking out the problem can turn off other clients—especially if it’s just the beginning of the partnership.

Overall, we think Dr Fix It All is a solid option if you want to get things fixed fast. They’re responsive on every channel and they offer various solutions for home repairs, whether it be exterior or interior.

We didn’t know much about ACE Handyman before our research. However, once we took a closer look, we found out that we had been missing out on such reliable handyman services!

One of the things that we appreciate about ACE Handyman is that they offer 24/7 emergency services. We felt like they recognise that anything can happen at any given time and having this service is a step above and beyond helping people in need.

As for their services, we’re impressed to find they offer a whole array of them, ranging from light fixtures installation to home improvements and of course, roof repairs. 

Furthermore, they also offer waterproofing to make sure that roof leakages never show up again in their clients’ homes.

We also loved how their prices were reasonable and didn’t feature hidden charges. It’s rare to see this kind of quality service, along with its 24/7 availability, be this cheap so we had to highlight it.

The only notable red flag that we found was that their WhatsApp channel took too long to respond. This is quite disappointing, as it beats the whole 24/7 emergency service that they have.

Other than that, we deem that ACE Handyman is a handy (no pun intended) company that offers a wide array of reasonably priced services.
