Nobedbugs-HK was one of the names that kept popping up during our research, partly because of its 10+ years of experience in the field. This longevity made them one of the most reliable pest control companies in Hong Kong based on our surveys.

Years aside, however, we can still see this company as a solid option for bed bug infestations because of the variety of services it offers. 

One of these services, of course, is bed bug extermination, which they claim to have a 100% success rate. 

At first we were taken aback by their confidence, but from what we’ve seen, this isn’t too bold of a claim considering that they have recorded over 10,000 successful cases with this service.

And what we like most about their bed bug extermination service is that they use agents that are safe enough to the point where you don’t have to throw out your bed. 

Plus, they don’t use silica gel, which can cause itchiness and redness when it comes in contact with the skin.

We also appreciate how they offered a one-year warranty that guarantees that they’ll redo their service for free if pests reappear within a year after their service. 

For us, being confident that the pests won’t return after a year just goes to show how good they are with their pest control services.

The only thing we’re iffy about with Nobedbug-HK is their above-average prices. 

However, some people can justify the prices based on the results and the quality of their services. On the other hand, we noted that some clients quickly turned to other competitors that offer cheaper rates.

BioCycle (Hong Kong) Limited is a tenured company that has been providing pest control services since 1991. 

With this, we’re confident that they’ve been in the field long enough to provide their clients with efficient treatments that don’t hurt the environment in the process.

Furthermore, another thing that this kind of longevity grants is technicians with unmatched experience in the field. 

We think that being in the industry for such a long time allows these professionals to apply techniques like using specialised biocides and spraying them in a certain type of way.

Another notable aspect for us is their ISO certification, which we think is a huge factor for their lasting trustworthiness, as it’s proof that they can operate based on the international standard. 

One thing that we didn’t like about BioCycle’s services, though, was that they didn’t guarantee that the client’s bed/furniture would still be usable after the treatment. 

This can be seen as a red flag by most clients since it will add more costs on their end on top of the services they have to pay for.

We’ve found some complaints in our surveys regarding BioCycle’s somewhat limited services, especially when compared with other companies in the same price range. 

However, one could argue that the services they offer are the only ones you need for your bed bug problems.

When it comes to longevity, Johnson Group is up there with the greats, being found way back in 1947. 

For us, being around for this long has made them innovative in creating strategies and treatments for eradicating these pests—case in point, their steam treatment.

Notably, the steam treatment involves Johnson Group’s green repellent and sprays which opts for more natural components instead of the usual chemical compounds found in these agents. 

The best part is that being green doesn’t make the treatment less effective, it just makes it safe for the environment as well as the inhabitants of the house. 

We find this feature exceptional, as it doesn’t compromise the client’s health and home just to eradicate the pests from their furniture.

Furthermore, we noted that the technicians are also well-equipped with state-of-the-art tools to kill these nasty bugs. For instance, they have a professional steam cleaning machine, which can generate heat of up to 104 °C, which is more than enough to kill them.

The only problem we found when opting for Johnson Group’s services is the pricey rates. Some could see this as a “paying for the name” kind of thing but if you ask us, it’s worth it since they use state-of-the-art equipment and implement tailor-made treatments.

Nonetheless, we appreciate how their pest control services are tailor-made for each of their clients. This tells us that they recognise that each case is unique and that they’re concerned enough to create treatments that will have 100% success rates.

We learned about MasterClean through word of mouth from close friends so we decided to check it out. 

Upon further research, we learned that it’s a reputable hygiene solution provider and has been a part of the Hong Kong Pest Management Association ( HKPMA ) since 2014.

One of the things that we immediately noticed about MasterClean is it recognises Hong Kong’s common problem with bed bugs. They’re also able to recognise the risks that come with these bugs if not eradicated, which is why they offer a solid set of green solutions.

Part of their pest infestation treatment is the use of biological pesticides to avoid damaging the furniture, the overall home and the health of its inhabitants. 

We were also impressed to find out that these pesticides are quite literally biological, as they’re made from plants—pretty, cool!

Another aspect we like is that their pest control management mostly consists of two stages: fogging and spraying. As these addresses different areas, we think this method aims to be doubly effective!

Plus, clients can also opt for a bait solution. From the name itself, attracts the targeted pests before being exterminated—an additional layer targeting those pests!

However, we must mention that we found a negative aspect when we surveyed their past clients. For instance, some were left unhappy after seeing some parts of their homes damaged from the procedures.

This unfortunate incident may be on a case-to-case basis, though, but it’s still worth noting if you’re planning on checking them out.

Rentokill’s striking name immediately caught our attention and we’ve decided that it’s a great fit for this list once we learned more about it. One of the things that drew us to them was their longevity, garnering over 50 years of experience in the field.

From our research, we were able to appreciate how Rentokill doesn’t just provide solutions for their clients, but they also educate them on the matter. For instance, they’ll teach the client how to spot an infestation and what to initially do in that situation.

Having this kind of information is such a huge help, as it prevents worsening the situation than it already is, so that’s an instant A+ in our books!

As for the bedbug treatment itself, it’s a mix of steaming and chemical treatments, which are proven effective against these nasty pests. 

It’s nice to know that these treatments are carried over in cycles (usually 2 to 3 visits), and they aim to 100% remove these pests from the client’s home.

Our only gripe with Rentokill is the expensive rates, which some clients deemed unreasonable, knowing that other companies offer lower rates. However, we think one could see this as a quality over quantity thing—it’s just a matter of preference in the end.
